Motion Book Covers

The Objective:

To spend thirty days creating thirty kinetic book covers. My project being six covers for five novels, to prove to myself that I could pull more than one idea from the same source.

The Process:

Each Day I would research brainstorm some ideas I wanted to try for the day, then I would sketch an idea out, then I would go into illustrator and build the basic framing of the idea until I felt it was ready to fully create. Once I had the illustrator file created, I would then take it into After Effects and start adding whichever movements felt organic.

The Solution:

I chose to illustrate different moments or metaphors that were key parts of each story and animate them, these animations are intended to accompany audiobooks in a digital space.
